A few workshop pointers...

A wonderful 2 1/2 hour session embracing colour and pattern as well as learning to manage some of the challenges and curve balls that marbling throws.

You will work at your own A3 tank while you get to grips with lots of different patterns and you will also make prints at the full sized tank.  You will be given a bag of carrageenan powder and alum so that you can continue working on your new found skills at home.

The studio is open to the mews at ground floor level but the bathroom is upstairs.  We will be standing at our tanks to marble

There is plenty of on-street parking available nearby on Alfred Street,  Bennett Street and other little back streets just north of the studio.   Alternatively,  there is a car park on Charlotte Street BA1 2NE.

There will be coffee and tea in the studio and a treat or two,  so no need to bring snacks with you unless you wish to.

Aprons will be provided and the gouache paint usually washes out,  but I recommend that you don’t wear treasured clothes or shoes in case of liberal splashing!

Your papers will need to dry overnight so I will post them on to you after the weekend.

Roll on the workshops!
